I painted this from an abandoned and crumbling Metro Link station on KingsHighway. The afternoon sunlight made amazing colors out of everything. 14x11 Oil on Canvas, Summer 2009.

Golden Earth

This peice was comissioned recently by a friend. I painted it from a photo of a 125 yr old ranch in West Texas. 12x16 oil on canvas, March 2009.

Self Portrait

More exercises in monochrome. this is the first portrait I've done entirely from a photo. It is a slightly warped perspective, but I was able to be more acurate than I have been painting myself "live" by looking in the mirror. 11x14 guache on canvas, November 2008.

Autumn Still Life

First painting in our new home in St. Louis.Getting beck into painting after a summer-long hiatus. I had this antique 7Up bottle and a nicely-shaped twig, and I wanted to focus on the values and textures. Doing it in monochrome kept me from cheating with fancy colors. A Last Look at Home

I painted this peice on-the-spot at a ranch outside of Austin. The little tin shed drew me in. 8x10 oil on canvas board, Spring 2008.
